{"id":14152,"date":"2022-08-04T13:31:38","date_gmt":"2022-08-04T13:31:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/?page_id=14152"},"modified":"2025-05-09T06:32:17","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T06:32:17","slug":"environment-and-materials","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/en\/environment-and-materials\/","title":{"rendered":"Environment and Materials"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ecology and Sustainability<\/p>\n<p>Our goal is for each of our publications to be as sustainable as possible for this and we use ecological and recycled raw materials publishing books that respect the environment.<\/p>\n<p>Every time we manage to adopt sustainable materials in our publications, we feel the satisfaction of contributing in any way you can to the protection of the environment, from whatever position you are!<\/p>\n<p>We set as our main goal the continuous research in the field of paper, cardboard and bookbinding materials both in Greece and abroad, integrating in our publishing process environmentally friendly, recyclable, recycled and sustainable raw materials.<\/p>\n<p>So every small step towards a new material, towards every new family of cartons and papers we use, gives us the joy of achieving sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>We highlight our papers, cardboards, textures, compositions and raw material with respect for the environment and for the identity of each material.<\/p>\n<p>In all our writing books, we use paper from sustainable crops, i.e. crops made with controlled and rational forest management, to ensure sustainable development and environmental protection.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14143 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/forest_eco-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/forest_eco-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/forest_eco-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/forest_eco-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/forest_eco-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/forest_eco-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/forest_eco-2048x1152.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Environment and Raw Materials<\/p>\n<p>Until today we have managed to include in our publishing process sustainable cardboards and papers from the biggest houses in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of such materials are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cardboard produced from residues of industrial seaweed processing products with the aim of strengthening the circular economy, completely natural, free of synthetic additives, recyclable and biodegradable.<\/li>\n<li>Natural ecological cardboard from Cordenons that has FSC\u00ae certification, has a neutral PH and contains cotton.<\/li>\n<li>FSC\u00ae certified, vegan, chemical-free recycled paper made from 40% PCW fibers and 60% PIW fibers.<\/li>\n<li>Recycled cardboard made from 100% waste paper, excluding any hazardous substance in its production process, with a soft texture and a very natural appearance.<\/li>\n<li>FSC\u00ae certified CRUSH ecological cardboard from Favini is GMO free, produced with 100% green energy and contains organic fruit and plant residues, with the aim of reducing wood pulp by 15%. These residues come from cherry, coffee beans, lavender, hazelnut, almond, olive, kiwi and grape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our aim is to contribute with our publications to the reduction of the carbon footprint and for our books to convey an ecological message to every person who uses them.<\/p>\n<p>FSC\u00ae Certification <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15484 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/FSC_C189482_Promotional_with_text_Landscape_WhiteOnGreen_r_Nv2vHO-300x146.png\" alt=\"FSC LOGO C189482\" width=\"300\" height=\"146\" srcset=\"https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/FSC_C189482_Promotional_with_text_Landscape_WhiteOnGreen_r_Nv2vHO-300x146.png 300w, https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/FSC_C189482_Promotional_with_text_Landscape_WhiteOnGreen_r_Nv2vHO-768x374.png 768w, https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/FSC_C189482_Promotional_with_text_Landscape_WhiteOnGreen_r_Nv2vHO.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the year 2023 we were certified by FSC\u00ae with certificate number FSC\u00ae- C189482, thus validating our commitment to environmental protection, ecology and sustainability. This certification of ours, as a company producing publishing products 100% in Greece, is a guarantee that with our operation we do not harm the forests. We also certify that we use paper that is recyclable and comes from raw material of sustainable crops in rationally managed forests, without interrupting natural production, to ensure sustainable development and environmental protection.<\/p>\n<p>The Forest Stewardship Council\u00ae (FSC\u00ae) is an international non-governmental and non-profit certification body for sustainable forest management (SFM) and forest-based products. It was founded in 1993 with the aim of promoting environmentally friendly, socially acceptable and economically sustainable management of the world&#8217;s forests.<\/p>\n<p>When ecology becomes a practice<\/p>\n<p>Recognizing the importance of our business sector for the environment, we partner with the One Tree Planted organization, which perfectly aligns with our corporate identity and corporate mission, with the aim of our contribution to tree planting across the planet.<\/p>\n<p>The sustainability and ecology of our books acquires another dimension!<\/p>\n<p>That of tree planting!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-14145 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/OneTreePlanted_Key-Logo_Long_Black-300x69.png\" alt=\"one tree\" width=\"300\" height=\"69\" srcset=\"https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/OneTreePlanted_Key-Logo_Long_Black-300x69.png 300w, https:\/\/writeyourfuture.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/OneTreePlanted_Key-Logo_Long_Black.png 612w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to global reforestation. The organization deals with tree planting with the aim of restoring nature and biodiversity. The trees are planted by local partner organizations and community volunteers in areas where deforestation has taken place. It also raises awareness of the importance of trees, offers businesses like ours a sustainability solution and motivates younger generations to do something positive for the environment.<\/p>\n<p>Women\u2019s Empowerment Fund<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"144\" data-end=\"506\">In 2025, we proudly participated in the Women\u2019s Empowerment Fund by One Tree Planted, actively supporting the advancement of women in leadership roles within the sustainability sector.
